Cécile Bessou
French Agriculture Research Center for International Development (CIRAD)

Since 2010, Cécile has been working at CIRAD within the research unit on perennial cropping systems (UPR 34). The researchers within this team work on both agricultural and environmental issues concerning perennial crops such as Oil Palm, Rubber or Cocoa tree.
Cécile provide scientific expertise to public and private sectors on life cycle assessment and GHG assessment of food crop systems. She has been involved as a scientific expert for RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) in the development and continuous improvement of RSPO greenhouse gas calculator, PalmGHG, for 5 years. This calculator has been included in the principles & criteria for RSPO sustainability certification.
Cécile education background were: a Ph.D. in Agronomy and Environmental Sciences; MSc. in Sustainable Resource Management; and bachelor degree in Agricultural Sciences – Tropical Agronomy.

Prof. Dr. Ir. Dodik Ridho Nurrochmat, M.Sc
Bogor Agricultural University

Prof. Dr. Ir. Dodik Ridho Nuccorchmat, M.Sc was born in Ponorogo, East Java. After completing his undergraduate education in the Forest Management Department of IPB (1989-1994), he worked in a group of forestry companies in Jakarta (1994-1995), become an ISO-9000 quality management system consultant (1995-1996) and returned to the IPB almamater to become teaching staff (1996). In 1999 he successfully completed a master’s degree in Forestry Economics at the University of Goettingen, Germany and in 2005 won a Doctor of Politics in Forestry at the same university with the highest praise (summa cum laude). In addition to teaching at the almamater, the scholar DAAD alumnus was also given the mandate as Director of IPB Career Development & Alumni Relations (2008-2013), Director of IPB Strategic Studies & Agricultural Policy (2013-2018), IPB Deputy Chancellor for Cooperation and Information Systems (2018- 2023), Chairperson of the Expert Council of the Association of Indonesian Forestry Scholars (PERSAKI) (2015-2018), as well as members of the International Council (IC) of the International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO) based in Vienna, Austria (2005-present).

Dr. Angela Tang Che Ing
Tropical Peat Research Laboratory Unit, Sarawak, Malaysia

Dr. Angela Tang is a research officer at Sarawak Tropical Peat Research Institute, Kuching, Malaysia . Previously she worked in Montana State University as research and teaching assistant. Her education background were: Ph.D. in Ecology and Environmental Sciences, Montana State University (2017); MSc. in Statistics, University of Malaya (2010); and BSc. in Science with Education, University of Malaya (2008). Angela has done several research topic, such as: The role of tropical peatlands in climate system; Land-atmosphere exchange of carbon and water fluxes; Collaboration with international eddy covariance community FLUXNET-CH4; Micrometeorological, eddy covariance and chamber methodologies; and Wavelet techniques for multi-temporal scale analysis.

Prof. Dr. Ir. Yanto Santosa, DEA
Wildlife Ecology Management, Bogor Agricultural University

Prof. Dr. Ir. Yanto Santosa, DEA received his bachelor degree from Bogor Agricultural University [IPB] (1983), then Diplome Etude Aprofondie (DEA) from Universite Paul Sabatier (Toulouse III) France (1988), and PhD from Universite Paul Sabatier (Toulouse III) France in Quantitative Ecology (1990). His work experience includes: Lecturer in Undergraduate and Post Graduate School, Faculty of Forestry Bogor Agricultural University (1984 – now); Consultant in several forest concessions HPH/HPHTI Company (1990-1999; 2005-now); • Member of Academic Senate, Bogor Agricultural University (2004-2009); Head of Post Graduate School, Biodiversity Conservation Programme, Bogor Agricultural University (2004 – now); Secretary of Post Graduate School Commission, Bogor Agricultural University (2009 – now); and Head of the Professor Board, Faculty of Forestry, Bogor Agricultural University (2015 – now).

Prof. Alain Rival, PhD
French Agriculture Research Center for International Development (CIRAD)

Prof. Alain Rival, PhD is the Regional Director of CIRAD for South-East Asia, based in Jakarta (2014-now). Alain specialization is in epigenetics in molecular physiology. He is an agronomist by training, he holds a PhD in Biology of Organisms and Populations. The first years of his scientific career (1985-1995) were devoted to the animation of international projects in plant biotechnology, in public/private partnership (Ivory Coast, Indonesia, Malaysia, Costa Rica). From 2000 to 2004, he directed the Palm oil program at CIRAD in Montpellier. Marie Curie Laureate of the European Commission (2004 – 2007), in collaboration with CSIRO Plant Industry in Canberra (Australia) he has developed his research on the environmental regulation of flowering genes.
